Wine Lovers Testimonials – read what other consumers and wine enthusiasts thought of Wine & Spirit Education Trust courses run by Enjoy Discovering Wine

Wine Lovers TestimonialsI want to say a big thank you for a really enjoyable day in Winchester on Saturday. The course was informative as well as enjoyable and you made it fun to learn. I have lost count of the wine tastings I’ve been to, most of which I enjoy (they do involve drinking wine, after all!) but this was one of the best and it was really fascinating and surprising how the wines’ taste and bouquet changed with the food. Now all I have to do is remember it all and put it into practice. Thanks once again and I hope I will be able to attend another of your courses one day.

Wine Lovers TestimonialsI learned more about wines on the course I did with Erica than I have done on all the other “wine tasting” events put together. It doesn’t make you more fussy about wine, in fact it has opened my mind and tastes to wines I had sidelined years ago purely because I had either served it too warm, too cold or paired it with something that it clashed with and made it undrinkable. Most of all it was fun learning!
Gillian Jeffrey, WSET Level 1 Award in Wines Student

Enjoy Discovering WineAttending and passing the WSET course has given me the passion and confidence I needed to venture into the wine business!! I am currently obtaining my personal license and setting up relationships with private clients and local businesses after visiting many English vineyards, to provide top quality English wines, specializing in biodynamic and low sulphite fine wines. I also intend to complete my WSET Level 2 in 2015. I am going to be busy doing something I love, and who knows if all goes well, maybe continue my studies even further in 2016!

Wine Lovers TestimonialsGenerally I enjoyed the tastings (40 wines), and in particular the sparkling wines and dessert wines, as these were furthest away from what I would usually drink. I enjoyed the mock test questions as well, as they gave me a clear reference as to how much I was learning. Anyone wanting to get the most out of the level 2 course should look to set aside several hours beforehand for studying the 80 page course book. I read the book cover to cover, then read it a second time taking notes. In all this probably took me 15 hours. While you could probably pass the exam with less study, I’d view that as a minimum if you want to get the most out of the course.
